Highest award received in Ball State University’s 4th-year design competition for microGrow, with teammate Amanda Rider.  Team presented design at Indianapolis’s AIA chapter’s January meeting.

3rd-Place | 2016
Received 3rd-place recognition for Tessellate.  Project displayed at ACSA’s 105th Annual Meeting in Detroit, MI, in March 2017, and at AIA’s National Convention in Orlando, FL, in April 2017.

Worked on the design, development, and documentation of large-scale, mixed-use urban projects located in US, China, and Canada. Range of skills applied included Rhinoceros 3D-modeling, physical modeling, V-Ray rendering, AutoCAD 2D-drafting, Adobe Creative Suites diagramming, and 3D-printing.

Assisted Prof Gail Brager and Dr Stefano Schiavon in their instruction of ARCH 140, Energy and the Environment, a class for undergraduate architecture students. Tasks include leading weekly section lectures, evaluating student homework, projects, and quizzes, and holding office hours for student meetings. Course requires an understanding of Climate Consultant, Sketch-Up, and the Sefaira Environmental Analysis plug-in to evaluate building performance.

Worked in the schematic design stage for Hopkinsville Community College and helped with construction documents for Owensboro's International Bluegrass Museum and Butler County's KCTCS Extension District. Primarily used Revit 2015 3D-modeling software.

Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) | 

2018: LEED Green Associate 

2016: Participated in a LEEDlab class pursuing the ongoing task to renew the LEED Silver status of Ball State University’s Letterman Communication Building. In April 2016, presented findings with team of students to Ball State University’s Council on the Environment.

 

American Institutute of Architecture Students (AIAS) | 

2016 - 2017 : Member of the National Advocacy Task Force, a committee assigned to discuss issues of equity, diversity, and accessibility in design. Committee presentation at AIAS’s National Forum 2016, in Boston, MA, and online through live panel discussions and a series of blog posts.
