Every city, shaped by landscape, climate, transportation, and settlement, has a sense of living wonder. Piece by piece,a city evolves through time, and a map only captures a finite snapshot of this unfinished artwork. Nevertheless, creating these maps immerses me in an unraveling story that feels embedded in the paintings. I illustrate a city’s boundless essence through a gradient of color unveiling upon an endless street network. Outside of the frame, perhaps the city could continue forever.
